Cosmetic dentistry

A smile you're happy with does real work for your confidence — and caring for how your teeth look is no longer an expensive luxury, but part of ordinary dental health care.

02 / How we approach cosmetic work

Health first, looks second.

Cosmetic work done well starts with a mouth that's well.

We start with health. Before any cosmetic treatment is planned, we examine your teeth and gums the way we would at any check-up. If there's decay or gum trouble, we talk about that first — appearance is built on a healthy foundation, not instead of one.

We're realistic with you. Every option is explained in plain English: what it can do, what it can't, and what's involved along the way. You decide with the full picture in front of you.

We don't upsell. If a simpler option will do the job — bonding rather than a crown, for instance — we'll say so. And if we think a treatment isn't worth your money, we'll say that too.

Cost comes before consent. You'll have a quote in writing before any treatment begins — we'll always talk cost before we treat.

03 / Good to know

Questions we're often asked.

With an ordinary appointment. We examine your teeth and gums, listen to what bothers you about your smile, and only then talk through the options — each explained in plain English and quoted in writing before anything begins. Book online or call (03) 9560 2702.

That's the aim in how we choose materials. Crowns and bridges are made from porcelain, colour-matched to your natural teeth, and we prefer white tooth-coloured fillings wherever possible because the result is far more aesthetic. Before you decide on anything, we'll talk honestly about what the treatment can and can't achieve.

We always start with your overall dental health. If the examination turns up decay or gum trouble, we'll explain it and recommend dealing with it first — a crown's longevity, for instance, depends on the health of the tooth underneath it. It's the order that serves you best, so it's the order we work in.

There's no single price — every mouth and every plan is different. You'll always get a quote in writing before any treatment begins, and we'll always talk cost before we treat. If you have health fund cover, call us and we'll help check it before you come in.

“We'll always tell you when treatment isn't needed.”
